Role

I worked as a UX Designer as part of the Errandz team. My responsibilities included designing the project logo and team logo, developing interactive user flows, and designing the UX and UI for the Tasker/service-provider side of the application.

I also designed icons related to various app features, created marketing materials and the project proposal, and collaborated with team members throughout the website development process to ensure that the design was effectively translated into the final product.

Project Overview

Errandz is a mobile application platform with dedicated dashboards for both Hirers and Taskers (service providers). Taskers can discover nearby job opportunities along with detailed job descriptions, which are organized based on the skills and preferences they provide.

The platform is designed to provide a reliable and secure way for users to find jobs and hire Taskers. To protect users’ privacy, the hirer’s address is only revealed to the Tasker after the job has been assigned to them.

Design Approach and Methodology

Through design research, we studied our target users to understand their needs, goals, pain points, and frustrations. Based on our research, we designed Errandz to help users find suitable jobs and reliable workers quickly within their local area.

For Taskers, the goal was to create an easy and efficient experience for discovering nearby opportunities that match their skills and preferences. For Hirers, the platform provides a convenient way to find and hire suitable Taskers for their needs.

The design process focused on creating a simple, accessible, and trustworthy experience for both sides of the platform while addressing important concerns around privacy, location, and security.

Project proposal

I designed the project proposal for Errandz and worked through multiple iterations to refine the presentation, content, and overall visual design. The proposal communicated the project’s concept, objectives, features, and design direction to clearly present the value and functionality of the application.

User Persona

We conducted extensive user research and created user journey blueprints to better understand our target audience. First, we identified our target users and divided them into three categories: Power Users, Regular Users, and Casual Users.

We then developed user personas to gain deeper insights into their goals, needs, behaviors, and pain points. These personas helped us understand the problems users were facing and identify opportunities to design solutions that addressed their specific needs.

The research findings and personas guided our design decisions throughout the project, helping us create a more user-centered, practical, and effective experience.

User Flow

Based on our research findings, we concluded that the application needed to support both client and worker experiences. Our goal was to create a single platform where clients could easily post jobs and workers could discover and apply for suitable job opportunities.

For the user flow, I created three different versions and iterated on each based on our research and design requirements. After evaluating the different approaches, I developed the final interactive user flow.

The final user flow incorporated all the key features and interactions required to address users’ needs and solve the problems identified during our research. This process helped create a more intuitive, efficient, and user-centered experience for both clients and workers.

Wireframe

UI Kit

We developed a color palette for the project to create a consistent and cohesive visual identity across the application. I also designed custom icons for the navigation bar and job categories to make the interface more intuitive and help users quickly identify different sections and services.

For typography, we selected Roboto, a modern sans-serif typeface that is clean, legible, and easy to read across different screen sizes and devices.

I also designed the logo for both the website and mobile application, ensuring that the visual identity remained consistent across both platforms.
